Understanding when and where events take place is an important aspect of intelligence analysis. Automated methods for mining events mentioned in a body of text can assist analysts in this endeavor and help discover mission-critical data more quickly. In this talk, we discuss the work done by Basis Technology’s Research and Development Team on developing a system which can provide this capability with remarkably little data.
